London Area Free Flight Site
From 2010 onwards London Area has a new approved venue for Area Centralised
free-flight contests. It is Area 8 on Salisbury Plain, a military training
area, and one of the best free-flight sites in Britain. The site is also
available for trimming for free-flight only on most weekends; see the
details on the Events page on the BMFA website.
Best access is at 50º11’33.60”N 1º56’59.79”W,
on the B390 Shrewton-Chitterne road, about 2 miles west of Shrewton.
